Loved that metaphor! I have actually never looked at it like that! But it is really true! We know that what is in the bible was put together by the vatican, but we don't know everything they have removed! We don't know the full story, we know what someone means we should know.
But hey, lets believe what we want to believe. I had a great priest when I had my conformation. He was riding a Harly, and he had a great view on religion. He understood that all of us did not believe fully in god, and he respected it, he just wanted us to believe in something! And he knew we were kids and we would curse, but he gave us one thing he would not allow us. And that was not cursing in church! Everyone said that if they hit their leg in the wall they would yell and curse. He said, you would have to be at least 10 steps outside of the church to curse.
So one day he hit his leg in a chair, really hard. He run as fast as he could, outside. We all followed, but before we got out we heard a big FUCK!!! We all looked pretty shocked I believe, but that made him normal to us. He also cursed, but he showed respect for gods house, and that was all he asked of us! I love that. I have changed my view on religion many times, and I changes what I believe in when it comes to Christ and God. I believe there is a greater power, I call it God, but I don't know anything about him/her/it. I just believe there is something bigger.
