Cat Whispurrer I am so saddened by the senseless loss of eight beautiful trees, now gone forever as I look out the window to see cold, concrete city glaring back. All eight towered well over 100' as they were felled one by one ~ their mighty trunks snapped and torn apart like twigs, then tossed indignantly into giant dumpsters. These vibrant magnificent beauties enhanced our property line for almost 50 years, serving as great shade canapes for the building, an aerial nest & playground for the birds & squirrels while blocking the city noise from my consciousness. I am grateful for the 15 years of their comfort & company and mourn their loss, as dear old friends of our own Mother Nature. I choose to receive this as yet another sign confirming my decision to make a graceful exit from this stark place.

Kathy Turtle I feel your pain, Dee. All in the name of Pro or Re - gress. My mind just cannot understand the useless waste. We must learn to live WITH nature.
