Vickie Nitzsche gave Sophia Ward a sandcastle
Sophia, yes I have felt the spiral of hopelessness. I am very sorry for the loss of your husband, that is enough to cope with by itself. Be open to the possibility that there is a better place for you live.
Personal story.
I was young and had a job that I really disliked. It paid barely enough to survive. I kept praying to God I need the income so give me the strength to endure it. I could barely afford food. Then one day I felt physically ill from the thought of going into the office.
So, I changed my prayer to "God you know my needs, if this is where you want me to be then help me accept it and learn to enjoy it. If not, then I trust you to find me a better position. I was fired 2 days later, because of some actions by my immediate supervisor. That was Friday at 5P. By 10:00A Monday I was working for a temp agency for more money/hour plus 10 hours of overtime per week.
Within 2 months, my supervisor announced she was moving to Alaska. Her supervisor asked if she knew anyone who could replace her and she told him I was the best person for the job. Only 3 other people applied for the position and by the time interviews started they had all found reasons to drop out of consideration for the job.
When hired I had doubled the income from my previous job.
My advice trust God to supply your needs in his divine timing. Try not to be tied to this housing situation and start looking around. You may be surprised at what is available.
There are other times in my life when being open to things not looking the way I thought they should ended up being a blessing.
Prayers of faith, hope and love I offer to you. You are not alone.
