Judy Pasko Good Morning Gratitude! What a beautiful day- cold, but invigorating! The kind of day that makes you feel happy just to be alive! Yesterday I had tears in my eyes when I came to GratitudeLog, today I feel ecstatic, and my circumstances are almost exactly the same... Does this make me crazy??? I don't care- I feel good!
I am grateful to each and every one of YOU and your contribution the the uplifting energy around here!
I am grateful for avocados! I love avocados and eat one almost every day.
I am grateful to have a 20 minute drive to take my son to school each day. It is so precious to me to have him all to myself for 20 minutes twice a day! I am grateful that he is so brilliant and sweet and loving and fun and funny- and that he loves to make people laugh and loves to amaze us all with his magic- which he is really good at. I am thankful that he his such a good big brother. Emily loves him so much. I am thankful that he still wants my help with his homework every night, even though he doesn't really need it. I am grateful that he is so passionate about math and science and loves getting straight A's- so different from me as a child! I am grateful that he gets to learn through watching me struggle to be more successful and learn more about myself. I am grateful that when he wants something he doesn't stop until he gets it. I told Elijah about Deepak Chopra saying that he always told his children not to worry about excelling in school, not to worry about supporting themselves, he would take care of that. He told them the most important thing for them to focus on is finding their own gifts and how they will contribute to the world. Of course at the time I read the book they were both successful in very good schools. When I told Elijah this he said to me... "Don't worry mom, when I graduate from college and start making tons of money I'll support you so you spend your time finding your gifts" Made me laugh. What a kid.
I think I'd still feel this way if I didn't have children, but when you have kids there is just no way you can look back on your life with regret. I made a lot of "bad choices" and "mistakes", but all of these led me to where I am right here, right now. And I wouldn't trade it for anything. Thank you, Universe. I am extraordinarily blessed! Emily, my darling, I am not leaving you out, but I do have to get to work. I will appreciate all that you are in my next log! I love, though, that when I tell her "I think I must be the luckiest mom in the who world" She tells me that all moms are the luckiest mom in the world. To think we weren't going to have any more kids. I can't imagine life without either of my children. I tell her- "I am so thankful that you chose me to be your mommy", and she says "You're welcome", totally agreeing that it was she who chose us. I love it.
Thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you. I am eternally grateful.
