Katie King i'm grateful that the kids are able to completely surprise me... after 3 full days straight of OGT boot camp, they still all showed up on Saturday at 9 in the rain and gloom. add to that half of my advisory there for a chemistry review session, and other random seniors getting work done, and the 7th/8th grade OAA boot camps, and it was all-in-all an inspiring morning. top it off with having to kick numerous kids out at 1ish because they would rather be at school than at home. it's sad because some of them have terrible homes, and i hate sending them away, but many of them have decent homes and families, and yet we've created a culture at DECA where they would rather be at school than any where else. definitely the greatest place to "work".
